Strategies generated from interaction in the brisas de jalisco eco-city community to develop citizen awareness and environmental care

Abstract

The purpose of the study is based on the design of a proposal for citizen awareness and care of the environment in the Brisas de Jalisco Eco-City, so that the group can deal with the problems of the sector, causing total involvement through active participation, allowing them to assume responsibility for the protection of the environment. It started from the diagnostic orientation product of the work carried out in the community, the theoretical foundation included contents on environmental awareness according to Jiménez (2010) and Morejón (2006); in Citizen Participation, Montero (2004) stands out; Ecological Citizenship attending to the approaches of Barreto (2008). Man and the Environment thus providing the ecological notion, seen from the relationship between citizenship and the environment located in the center of a sustainable community or on the way to it. A methodology was adopted whose
approach presents the feasible project modality, allowing to offer a citizen awareness proposal, which will consolidate environmental care in the future, this, as part of the diagnostic phase whose scope reflects the intervention by the citizens increasing with
the implementation the required awareness, for which it is concluded that the design will
favor a sustainable development friendly to the environment in the Eco-City Brisas de
Jalisco.
