Relationships of trust for the consolidation of corporate social responsibility

Within the context of sustainable human development, social capital stands out as a dimension related to people's commitment to making shared efforts towards common goals. In this scenario, the purpose of this research was to study a key element of social capital, trust, as an integrating factor of actions within the framework of social responsibility. For this purpose, an educational institution called Colegio Santo Cristo was considered as a case study. The methodological route was determined with a quantitative approach, where, based on a descriptive, non-experimental design, the application of a Likert-type scale questionnaire to a population of twenty members of said institution was contemplated. It was then possible to determine that there are weaknesses when considering trust among its members as well as reciprocity among coworkers. Likewise, the results are not conducive to the consolidation of Corporate Social Responsibility, so some recommendations were made with a view to strengthening these relationships, which in turn would foster a context for carrying out socially responsible actions.
