Ethical values: integrative component of the teacher's ethos in their evaluation practice in initial education

Abstract

The aim of this paper aims to point out the ethical values of justice, equality, integrity, solidarity, responsibility, and respect, as an integrated component of the ethos of the teacher in evaluative work in Early Childhood Education. The evaluation at this level, serves a continuous and holistic process where all the actors and factors thereof, by reason whereof, these values are an attitude of respect toward the human that interacts and participates in the act of evaluation. In this sense, it reflects on the ethical values that should support the practice of teaching and evaluative criteria to be followed to assess learning in children.
