Abstract

Craftsmanship is a material expression of the culture of a country where the indigenous and the African have mixed and merged without having a clear division of where they begin or end. It has its own characteristics and represents beliefs, arts, values, practices and traditions that They are transmitted from generation to generation, they have the presence of a memory that lives in the spirit of the people, who live in the present, valuing ancestral experiences in the daily life of their work, such is the case of the community of Betichope where it is made since ancestral time the heritage of the Kuikas the wonderful crafts of clay or earthenware product made with the raw materials of the community. For this reason, this investigative work was developed under the socio-critical paradigm of collaborative research, with semi-structured questions to the relevant actors such as the community potters and the artisan Mr. Isidro Valera, thanks to them the proposed objectives were achieved.
