Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. The works must be about research in the areas of knowledge taught at the Universidad Valle del Momboy, covering a multidisciplinary approach aligned with the institutional philosophy of Sustainable Human Development.
2. They must be original and not be submitted for consideration by other journals. The authors must include the author's letter of commitment (annex No. 1) along with the article.
All articles will be refereed under the double-blind modality by specialists in the area of ​​knowledge.
4. The arbitration will consider the aspects mentioned in the arbitration form (see annex).
5. The articles can be sent in electronic format on this platform or through [email protected]. With the following information:
a. Name of the author or authors, institution they represent, department, email, telephone, city and country.
b. A letter addressed to the editor, signed by the author or authors, in which the article is presented, must be attached, requesting its publication in the specific journal, accepting the established editorial standards and assigning the rights of publication.
6. The works will be presented in Spanish and must include a summary in Spanish and English, with an extension between two hundred (200) and three hundred (300) words; likewise, it must contain between three (3) and five (5) key words in each one.
7. Along with the work, a curricular summary of the author or authors of no more than five (5) lines must be submitted.
8. The accepted length of the work will be between 10 pages and 25 pages, with Arial 12p font, and they must also be transcribed double-spaced, with the following margins: left, top, right and bottom of two point fifty-four (2.54) centimeters.
9 The citation system used by the authors in their works may be: the American Psychological Association (APA) system in its 7th edition.
10. Once the texts are available to the Director of each journal, they will be sent to the anonymous referees for their verdict. The editors will then communicate the acceptance of the article in writing.

 

The structure of peer-reviewed articles must comply with the following standards:

  • Summary and Abstract, with a length of between two hundred (200) and three hundred (300) words.
  • Three to five keywords.
  • Introduction, presenting the problem or event of study and objectives of the research.
  • The theories on which the work is based and the state of the art of research.
  • Method/Methodology with which the research was worked on.
  • Results obtained in the research.
  • Discussion, interpretation and results.
  • Conclusions.
  • References.
