We ensure that the parties involved: authors, editors and reviewers are ethical during the editorial process.
Some of the responsibilities are detailed below:
Responsibilities of the editors and the editorial board
• Publication selection.
• Confidentiality agreement between the parties involved.
Reviewer Responsibilities
• Confidentiality.
• Punctuality.
• Transparency and declaration of any conflicts of interest.
Author Responsibilities
• Principles of research and presentation of original manuscripts.
• Authenticity and plagiarism.
• The authorship of the article, see the regulations for the use of Taxonomia Credit.
Conflict of interest
Both authors and reviewers must declare any conflict of interest for personal, financial and political reasons.
Retractions or errata
The Journal follows the recommendations issued by COPE to prevent scientific malpractice and is willing to publish corrections, clarifications, and retractions when necessary, based on the following types of errors:
1. Major errors (forgery, fabrication, or plagiarism): If a published article contains substantive errors detected by the author and which undermine scientific quality, the author may request a withdrawal or correction. However, if plagiarism, prior publication, unethical conduct, or errors are detected by third parties, the author is obligated to publicly retract the article, in which case a public withdrawal or correction will be issued immediately. The public correction or retraction will be published in the next issue.
2. Minor errors (errors in sampling, procedures, or data analysis, failures in the reproduction of results, accidental omission of information about methods or data analysis): When a significant error or inaccuracy is discovered in the published document, the author is obligated to notify the journal and retract or correct the document.
