With the Austinian linguistic model concourse, the illocutionary or perlocutionary forces of linguistic emissions in social contexts are evaluated as the main purpose of this research. In this particular case, the linguistic emissions in Venezuela related to the events of February 4th, 1992 were studied. Several illocutionary or perlocutionary acts were evaluated, including the short phrase “by now” which lay down the social imagination, and is described as “Legendary. The phrase “Death to the coup leaders” would have to be categorized as an unauthorized act, a wrong appeal, an Austinian mistake. In the statement, “It is difficult to ask the people to sacrife themselves for freedom and democracy when they think that freedom and democracy are not able to feed them” A high intensity in the perlocutionary force could be detected, however, Dr. Caldera didn’t do anything in saying this phrase, though he achieved his return to the presidency of the Republic of Venezuela. The popular cognitive background was confirmed in the construction of the social reality, and it allows oneself to comprehend how communication standpoint “neutral” phrases could acquire a very intense illocutionary or perlocutionary force. In general, it was found that each of the particular linguistic emissions selected for this research show a high intensity in the acts which illocutionary or perlocutionary forces represent. And his impact was really high in the poiesis of the Venezuelan social-political reality of the XXI century. These changes materialized in the fifth Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with a new Constitution, five interdependent powers, an economic model under a recently constructed socialism-, the search for a Latinamerican Union, and the establishment of a new pluri-nuclear world order; all these changes with a foundation in a broadly-scoped geopolitical vision.
