Sustainable human development. A human vision

Abstract

Years and events have divided the world, events that mark the end and the beginning of new historical processes, giving way to new forms of organization. We have lived within the history of humanity the birth and death of Christ, world wars, technological advances, to name a few; that, ultimately, make us capable of taking on challenges to build the society we all dream of. Today, we are the result of these processes and we are also the builders of tomorrow. This is why the United Nations Organization (UN), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the World Bank (WB), and innumerable organizations join forces in the task of working for the people and for people. Worrying about man as the axis and engine of all development is the priority. We must make this century the century of fairness, justice and equality; achieving the full development of the person. This paradigm is presented as a human vision, based on values that refer to the shared standards of what is correct, desirable and worthy of respect by those who assume, internalize and put them into practice. Sustainable human development shows us a humanistic vision of growth, recognizing the importance of nature, culture, technology, economy and society, for human happiness.
