The consumption of addictive substances control for better quality of life for middle school students

Abstract

the objective this research, was to address the control of consumption of additive substances harmful to the health of the students of the Liceo Bolivariano Dr. Fernando Garmendia Yepez, Nuvia, Lara state, dealing with the methodology of the social project of Pérez, S. (2005, adapted by UVM), in four phases: diagnostic, planning, execution and evaluation. The results of the diagnosis showed consumption of chimó, alcohol, cigarettes, among others, makes every day more evident in the vicinity of the institution, affecting the overall health of the students. For intervention, were planned landslide activities, educational talks, video forums, information campaigns, radio microphones; attended by 164 students, 132 parents and representatives, 8 teachers of the institution and 4 the subject matter experts. The execution phase, was in charge of the experts who were able to educate students, parents, representatives, resulting supporting the active participation of the multidisciplinary team consisting of experts in the area, teachers, counselors and directors, who together initiated transformative changes, reflecting positive impact on stakeholders, manifested in the changing attitudes of some students who were admitted to rehabilitation programs and student activists added to the team that will continue with preventive and informational campaigns.
