Abstract

The purpose of this investigation, It was to develop a Solar Concentrator cylindrical parabolic teaching purposes, to study its implementation as Solar Thermal Technology and Sustainable Energy Model, by experimental tests for the prototype designed. The research was experimental. The Parabolic Concentrator Cilíndrico (CCP) It is mainly composed of 3 parts; The reflective surface, The collector or absorber tube and solar tracking system. The materials used in its manufacture are readily available on the national market. The design was made with AutoCAD design software. Once they built the prototype a set of tests were performed, for this should be considered the geographical and meteorological conditions of the site, and the Solar Position from the plane of the observer. By Installation is considered, the angle of incidence of direct solar radiation, CCP inclination angle, Azimuth angle, Oriented South-North. The basic variables involved in implementation are, Solar radiation, Insolation, Calorific fluid flow, temperature. The results, overall performance 82%,Thermal performance absorber 92%,working conditions were; fluid water, Flow 1,68 cm3/seg hour 2:00p.m. With radiant Sun, Inclination angle β= 34,92°, angle of incidence of direct solar radiation α= 55,0.8°, energy obtained by the fluid = 592,52 Ws solar radiation according to data from web NASA 670 W/m2, Optical Performance 0,80.
