Abstract

This research sets its objective to forecast rain for the San Francisco municipality of Zulia State from 2016 to 2018, making a collection of actual data for precipitation for the period 2000-2015. Forecasting by ARIMA method was used to determine said. The results show a cyclicity in periods of rain and drought with a maximum of 0.14 mm for the months of October and November. It is recommended to the Venezuelan State and the municipality set up alternative sources of water resources policies and campaigns of awareness to the population for the purpose of a rational use of the resource water.
