Augmented reality: A new vision of interaction between the real and virtual worlds
Keywords:

In this article, we make a study of the field of Augmented Reality (AR), in which 3D virtual objects are integrated into a 3D real environment in real time. The concept of AR is related to how technology can help us enrich our perception of reality and our way of seeing the world. The AR allows us to blend virtual images with real images. Unlike Virtual Reality (VR), which immerses the user in a completely artificial environment, the AR allows the user to maintain contact with the real world while interacts with virtual objects. Digital information is added interactively to the real world of the user. At present the AR is being used in various application areas such as medicine, entertainment, equipment maintenance, architecture, robotics, manufacturing, marketing and advertising, among others. Technological advances have allowed AR experience possible and we can it enjoy both PCs and mobile or Smartphone devices and consoles, plus that already numerous exist social tools and applications that incorporate this technology in the market, in general industry, and in research.
