Currently managing is essential for any organization, developing organizational action at any level of the company. These actions is not unique to higher hierarchical positions, but all staff; seen as the responsibility to take the necessary functions that allow individuals to make better contributions to the collective goals of the institution. The article is framed as a documentary with a critical reflective authors focused on Bernal (2007), Torres (2007), Daft (2004). Stressing To describe an overview of the administration as a science, aspects related to the role of the administrator or manager as well as criteria of the Administration and its relationship with society, ending with some considerations about the future of the art of managing. Final reflections arise where successful organizations tend to the growth and expansion of its activities either in terms of size and resources, expand their markets or in the volume of its operations through general managers equipped with generic skills varied with promising prospects that managers concentrated in a few specialists and managerial skills.
