Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of chemical additives on the quality of Hamaca extra heavy crude using propane as solvent of extraction in the reservoir conditions (60 ºC and 110 psi). It begins with an evaluation in a SFE□ISCO extraction system with propane. Different additives were used, among them: toluene, toluene/isopropanol, dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid(DDBSA), 1-octadecene maleic anhydride (ODMA) and maleic anhydride (MA). Consecutive by an analysis of saturated, aromatics, resin and asphaltenes (SARA) with the chromatography technique in fine layer connected to a flame ionization detector (TLC-DFID).In the end, One can conclude that the asphaltenes content is reduced in 60% with only propane. But, using additives the deasphalting is 30% aproximately. In other words, only the propane is better at deasphalting than aditively propane.
