Desing of telecomunications Network of Universidad Valle del Momboy

Abstract

The objective of this investigation was to design the telecomunications network of the Universidad Valle del Momboy, located in Valera city, Trujillo state, based on wired and wireless technologies to improve communication. Field research was the type of research used, in the form of a feasible project. A series of steps were considered in order to achieve the goals and objectives, which take into consideration the improvement of communication between various units of the Universidad Valle del Momboy. We performed the feasibility study, taking into account technical and operational costs, demonstrating the cost-benefit relationship that exists and that the technology is easy to acquire and maintain. This design greatly improves the performance of network administration using free software technologies, triggering the gradual optimization of the corporate network, and thus increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes carried out at the University in all aspects, both academic and administrative.
