Systems thinking in decision-making process

Abstract

The vision of the systemic paradigm is one of the most advanced forms of thought to understand the dynamics of postmodern organizations. Hence, systems theorists argue that the general systems theory is the genesis of profound transformations of contemporary thought. To this, join the modern ideas of systems where the complexity of reality, its multiple facets, the actors involved and how they perceive these are presented in different forms and even paradoxically. Making decisions is not easy for managers, the thinking has evolved. In this sense, this research aims at analyzing the contribution of systems thinking in decision making today's organizations, set in a documental research based on the tenets of Martinez (2005), O'Brien and Marakas (2006), Newstrom (2007), among others. In the most notable feat contribution for managers in the twenty-first century is the presence of a process of participatory decision making, consensus and reflective, based on agreements or disagreements, divergent product, yet its success goes hand in hand with creativity , wisdom and above all experience, constituents that are more humane organizations.
